i bused to sch with lynette yesterday
& we reached around 130pm.
we were at the foyer studying when guo came over
& told us a tragedy that happened that morning.

yesterday was the last day of sch for all secondary schs.
for new town, it was report card collecting day.
this sec 3 girl, upon receiving her report card,
found out that she had droppped to the NA stream.
she couldnt come to terms with it, & chose to end her life.
she walked to the toilet at 3rd floor & jumped.
the newspapers said that she was conscious all the while.
situation in sch was chaotic.
the ambulance came & rushed her to the hospital.
it was later discovered that both her legs were broken.

i was totally taken aback when i heard this piece of news.
even though i dont know her personally,
there's still this really uneasy feeling in me.
afterall we're schmates.

the sec 3 classrooms were supposed to be on the top floor.
but as some of our o level papers were held in their classrooms,
they had to use our classrooms instead.
had they not swopped classrooms with us,
she would have jumped off 4th floor & not survive.
i do believe that everything happens for a reason.

i was thinking how stupid she was to end her life just like that.
only at an age of 15, she chose to end her life.
life is full of ups & downs.
we just got to know how to get over the hurdle & move on.
i really do hope she gets well soon physically & emotionally.
i'll be praying for her.

let this be a lesson to us.
running away or commiting suicide isnt a solution.
we've got to face up to the problem & learn from our mistakes.
